CHENNAI: On the occasion of the 12th Graduation Day celebrations of Sri Muthukumaran Institute of Technology, Chikkarayapuram near mangadu, Chennai saw D Purandeswari, hon’ble Minister of State for Human Resource Development was the chief guest. “We live in an age where human knowledge, particularly scientific and technological knowledge, is expanding at an unprecedented pace and in the context of such a global scenario, access to knowledge has become the most important determinant of the power and eminence of all nations. India has to catch up with this fast developing situation,” Purandeswari said. He said that human resources, like natural resources, needed to be continuously harnessed and channelised in the right direction and that value addition could be acquired in a product or services through human ingenuity and intelligence. Later, he congratulated the graduates and conferred them with their degrees. Gomathi Radhakrishnan, chairperson of Sri Muthukumararan Institute of Technology, A N Radhakrishnan, managing trustee and Dr G Sankaranarayanan, principal of the college were also present at the function.
