The Ajsu party on Thursday launched 14 ambulances to provide a 24X7 health services in the Silli Assembly Constitutency in Ranchi district. "It will be a 24X7 health services in Silli assembly constituency we will make efforts to launch such services in other constituencies in Jharkhand as well," party chief and former deputy chief minister Sudesh Mahto said after launching the novel services in Silli, about an hour s drive from Ranchi.
It is the first of its kind in the state launched by Ajsu party s socio-cultural wing, 'Gunj', Mahto said the ambulances would be stationed at 14 different places in the constituency and have latest apparatus fitted in them.
Dialing a toll free number - 1800 200 3550 - would enable an answer in two rings and the ambulance would reach within ten minutes to pick up a patient and taking the person to the nearest hospital. Named as "Jivan Mitra Swasthya Seva", the patient has just to pay fuel bill and there would not be any fare for ferrying the patients to hospitals.
Lauding the effort, independent member of the Rajya Sabha Parimal Nathwani said on the occasion said all round development was the solution to curb naxalism. Veteran journalist Harivansh said, "The novel service is an example for every constituency in the country to follow."
