An 18-month-old child was killed in a road mishap when a two-wheeler collided head on with a lorry at the Ponneri Junction, in Jolarpet police station jurisdiction on Wednesday.
According to police, Imran of Jafferbed in Vaniyambadi had taken his friend Amin (24), Amin’s wife Banu (23) and their son Ayaz on his motorbike to Yelagiri from Vaniyambadi. The motorbike was hit by an approaching lorry. While all sustained injuries, Ayaz succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital, police said.
