2 held for bus-lorry crash

 Two persons from Vellore have been arrested in connection with Thursday’s lorry-bus collision near Kancheepuram, which claimed nine lives.

Those arrested were identified as bus driver Chitti Babu and lorry driver Selvam. Nine persons were killed and 10 hurt in the mishap near Raja Kulam.

Meanwhile, two of the male victims, said to be between 30 and 40 years of age, were yet to be identified. On Friday, Ministers TKM Chinnayya and Senthil Balaji paid last respects to the victims. They also disbursed the Rs 1 lakh solatium ordered by Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
