SANGAREDDY: Close on the heels of the hooch tragedy that claimed 18 lives in Mylavaram mandal of Krishna district, three persons who consumed spurious liquor have taken ill in Jogipet town in the district on Tuesday. The three youth - Dannaram Srinivas, Bandala Subash and Narsimlu fell sick after having illicit liquor on Tuesday afternoon. They were immediately shifted to Jogipet government hospital. District collector A Sarath ordered a probe into the incident. Following the directives from the collector Jogipet tahsildar Nagalakshmi collected samples from the liquor shop and ordered its closure. She also asked excise officials to collect samples from other liquor shops in the town and send for testing. The condition of the three persons is stated to be stable. Excise police registered a case.
