DEOGARH: Seven persons, including a woman, were arrested and one quintal of hemp seized from their possession by Reamal Police near Gurubeda village on NH-200 on Friday. Police have seized a four-wheeler vehicle and motorcycle used in smuggling the contraband. The accused were produced in court. All those arrested are residents of Bihar while their local conduits Basanta Patra and Ajit Patra belong to Nuapada village under Kundeigola police limits. They were escorting the four-wheeler.The accused were on their way to Bihar from Nuapada village when Riamal police intercepted them.
