A lovely gesture

BANGALORE: If there is one day that children look forward to year after year, a day that is dedicated to them alone, it is November 14— Children’s Day. While for many this is a day of fun and frolic, there are quite a few children, less fortunate than others for whom this is just another day, sans any joy or celebration. This year Mantri Developers, one of India’s fastest growing property development companies undertook a special initiative to try and make this day special for underprivileged children. Mantri Developers, through a CSR initiative under its banner Mantri SEVA organised a special party for the students of Indus Community School on Children’s day eve.Mantri SEVA created a carnival like atmosphere at the Indus Community School, Sarjapur. More than 350 children were a part of this celebration which saw colourful clowns and magicians entertaining them. A special games stall was also made for the kids, giving them a chance to play various fun games and enjoy the day. Speaking on the occasion Snehal Mantri, Director Marketing, Mantri Developers said, “Children’s Day is a very special day and we truly believe that every child in India should have the privilege to celebrate this special occasion. Since its inception Mantri SEVA has been trying to put an effort to give that extra to the underprivileged and less fortunate in the society. The Children’s day event at Indus Community School was a small initiative towards the same endeavour.”On this special occasion, Anuradha Ghulati, Principal of the Indus Community School said, “If we are able to add to the joy of these special children on a day as joyous as this, it only makes the celebration more worthy. Through this event Mantri SEVA has able to bring in some sunshine and joy in the lives these less fortunate kids, for whom life is otherwise not so easy. I would like to thank everyone who is a part of Mantri SEVA for this wonderful initiative.”
