New Delhi: It seems there is no end to the battle over JNU row. Massive protests have been planned by the BJP's student wing ABVP against JNU students.
The ABVP is holding agitations in several cities including Bengaluru, West Bengal and Ahmedabad. The student wing will hold a rally inside the Jadavpur University campus later on Thursday.
This comes after slogans in favour of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru were raised in a rally brought out by Jadavpur University students on Tuesday to express solidarity with their JNU counterparts agitating against the arrest of their leader Kanhaiya Kumar for alleged sedition.
Meanwhile, three members of ABVP have quit the outfit citing ideological differences. The students have slammed the Patiala House COurt violence as hooliganism.
Upset over brazen defiance of its orders by a bunch of rowdy lawyers, the Supreme Court issued a tough message to Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi to personally ensure the safety and security of Kanhaiya Kumar, journalists and others in Patiala House Court complex.
