CHENNAI: Consolidated Construction Consortium Limited launched its Academic Performance Improvement Scheme on Thursday to provide training for poorly performing students between classes VIX at Gopalapuram Boys Higher Secondary School. Nearly 200 students of the school are expected to benefit from this programme, which is in its second year.
APIS or Academic Performance Improvement Scheme was launched by CCCL in 2010 to provide specialised training to poorly performing students of higher secondary classes in the school. Interestingly, K Dhanavel, a class X student last year, who was among the 170 students to receive APIS training, emerged as the school topper in the Class X exams.R Sarabeswar, chairman and CEO, CCCL, honoured last academic year's top ten high scorers of the school.
