GUNTUR: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials conducted a raid on Guntur Cricket Association office near JKC College here on Wednesday and seized the records. It may be noted that a complaint was filed on alleged irregularities by some of the office bearers of the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) in ACB court, Vijayawada, which directed the ACB officials to submit a report by August 8.As part of the inquiry, the ACB officials seized the records of Guntur Cricket Association to verify the usage of funds alloted to it by the Andhra Cricket Association.In another incident, ACB sleuths caught deputy inspector of schools, Vijayawada, Kumar Thote, red-handed while he was accepting a bribe from a DWCRA member. According to information, Lalitha Kumari, a physically handicapped, and a member of DWACRA, approached Thote to take the contract of supplying mid-day meals to Wiynchipet Jai Kishan School. Thote demanded a bribe of `20,000 and finally the deal was settled at `10,000. ACB caught Thote red-handed at his office in Arundalpet. after Kumari approached them.
