According to witnesses, Jaime Razuri was forced to get into a car on Monday that sped off. The Peruvian national had arrived in Gaza a week earlier. No group has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping.
Foreigners have been frequent targets of abductions, usually being freed unhurt after a period of days or weeks.
