AIADMK expels 2 in Salem case

SALEM/MADURAI: The AIADMK on Thursday expelled two persons who figure in the FIR filed by the Salem police in the Angammal Colony land grab case.Party sources said Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa had ordered removal from party posts and expulsion from primary membership of the party of Sidhanandan, former councillor and the party secretary of 24th division, and Petikaddai Kanagaraj, a n M G R Manram organiser for Sooramangalam.Meanwhile, Sholavandan AIADMK MLA M V Karuppiah figured in a complaint received in Madurai. The complaint from T V Gunasekaran of Madurai, now Chennai settled, said Karuppiah usurped 2.20 acres of land that had been bought in 1975 in his mother’s name at Vavidaimarudhur.
