Initially designed for Apple's iOS, Angry birds, the most downloaded game ever, can now be played on Facebook.

New Delhi: Here comes good news for 'Angry Birds' fans. Initially designed for Apple's iOS, Angry birds, the most downloaded game ever, can now be played on Facebook. Rovio, the company behind this super popular game, has made its multi-platform game Angry Birds available as a Facebook app. However, the app is quite similar to the mobile version of the game, but there are certain features that have been uniquely designed for the Facebook version.

One of the key features newly introduced for the Facebook app is "power-ups," that has been built keeping the social nature of Facebook in mind. There are four different types of power-ups and they can be accessed via the lightning bolt button at the top of the screen. Users can use two power-ups per level. The four power ups are: Super Seeds, King Sling, Sling Scope and Birdquake. All power-ups have a different effect but ultimately make you more competitive against your friends by making your birds stronger or more accurate or even by shaking the earth itself.

According to the company, users can get these power-ups as gifts from their friends via the Mystery Gift. You can only send one gift per friend per day. Users can also receive power-ups through daily rewards for visiting Angry Birds on Facebook on consecutive days. Power-ups can also be purchased via the shop, which can be found in the bottom right corner of the screen.

In addition, there are exclusive levels designed for the Facebook app.

The game was initially designed for mobile phones. Later at the Google I/O developer conference, Rovio Mobile announced the web version of Angry Birds in May 2011.

The game has been downloaded over 700 million times since its release for Apple's iOS in December 2009.
