New Delhi: Apple has announced major updates to its both 13 and 15-inch Retina MacBook Pros. The new 13-inch MacBook Pro is thinner and lighter. It weighs 3.46 pounds and .71 inches thin. The new model is claimed to offer 9 hours of battery life.
Powered by Intel's Haswell chip, Iris graphics, the device is claimed to be up to 90 per cent faster.
The new 13-inch MacBook Pro is also claimed offer up to 9 hours of iTunes video playback. The prices of the new 13-inch MacBook Pro devices start at $1299.
The updated 15-inch MacBook Pro is priced at $1999 - down from $2199. It is powered by Intel's Crystalwell (4th generation core) chip. The 15-inch model also has a Retina display and includes 256GB SSD. It is said to offer up to 8 hours of battery life.
The new models start shipping today.
