Arjun Rampal is all set to Rock On

Mumbai: He was last seen as a baddie in Om Shanti Om and soon you'll see him as a rock star strumming his guitar.

When asked about the film, Actor Arjun Rampal said, “ Well I would not call it Dil Chahta Hai with mid-life crisis, I would call it Dil Chahta Hai on steroids.”

The film revolves around a rock band called Magik. It talks about how the band members get back together again after many years to fulfil their lost dream.

Rampal did nothing less than learn to play the guitar for this role in the film.

“The closest I had come to playing the guitar before Rock On was my tennis racket.

“I was air guitaring a lot. I was introduced to this gentleman called Chandresh. He is a fantastic guitarist with a band called Dream Out Loud. He was really patient with me.

I think after a certain point or certain age, it is difficult to get your coordination really going at that level, but I guess I really picked it up fast,” he said.

Other than the film, this model turned actor is also looking forward to his new business venture in the Capital.

“LAP is the name of the bar lounge and restaurant which I am opening with A D Singh and another friend of mine. We are going to do that in Delhi and its going to be great fun,” he added.

Rock On releases on August 29th and the film also stars Farhan Akhtar, Purab Kohli and Luke Kenny.
