HYDERABAD: The TRS leadership has finalised the candidature of Munuguru Bikshapati for Parkal byelection in Warangal district. Party chief K Chandrasekhar Rao approved Bikshapati’s name following a report submitted by the TRS election committee under the leadership of senior leader Nayani Narasimha Reddy. Rao is expected to make an official announcement on Wednesday. Though TRS district president Peddi Sudharshan Reddy and Warangal district Bar Association leader Sahudhar Reddy were among many contenders for the ticket, the party chose Bikshapati as it wanted to field a BC candidate. A senior TRS leader and popular among BC community, Bikshapati worked as ZP vice chairman. Earlier, he lost to Konda Surekha (Congress) from Parkal with a margin of 12,000 votes. The Congress has already announced a BC candidate, S Samma Rao. The BJP is yet to come out with its candidate. Konda Surekha is the YSRC candidate
