BANGALORE: Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, after being discharged from Victoria Hospital, arrived at the Central Prisons at the Parappana Agrahara amid tight police security at 11 am. He has been lodged in Room No 5 of the special security block.On his arrival, Yeddyurappa was subjected to medical tests at the prison hospital and put through other formalities before he was shifted to his cell, which is next to the room where former minister Krishnaiah Setty, Katta Jagadish Naidu and Srinivas have been lodged. Jagadish and Srinivas are accused in the Itasca scam.In keeping with the medical advice, Yeddyurappa has been provided a cot and a chair in the room. No television has been provided, prison officials said.“He had bread and milk in the afternoon and asked for home food. His family members brought food in the evening,” said the prison’s Chief Superintendent, Lakshminarayan, adding that the former CM was in no mood to meet visitors and spent most of the day sleeping. “He has requested us not to allow anybody to visit him till Thursday. Hence, we did not permit anybody to meet him. Minister M P Renukacharya, Yeddyurappa’s son and MP B Y Raghavendra, Rajya Sabha MP Prabhakar Kore, BJP spokesperson C T Ravi and others, who had come to meet him, were all denied permission,” he clarified. Case against Ashok, BSYBangalore: A private complaint has been filed against Home and Transport Minister R Ashok and former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa in the Lokayukta Special Court on Wednesday in relation to an illegal land denotification case. Judge N K Sudheendra Rao posted the case for Thursday based on the complaint filed by one Jayakumar Hiremath on Minister R Ashok.
