HYDERABAD: After continuous disruption of proceedings by opposition members for the last one week, the state Assembly transacted normal business smoothly on Thursday for the first time. The House was paralysed for over a week on the demand for resolution of Telangana state, liquor syndicate and other issues. Assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar took up the zero hour and allowed MLAs to raise problems concerning their constituencies.P Shankar Rao demanded stringent action against desecrators of the statues of Dr BR Ambedkar.MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi said students in the state were studying under different patterns and that NEET and ICET entrance tests would make them suffer.The new pattern would be in English only help private coaching institute while poor families and those residing in rural areas would suffer, he said.
