Kerala Congress (B) chairman K Balakrishna Pillai has alleged that Chief Minister Oommen Chandy was supporting and protecting Forest Minister K B Ganesh Kumar, even after KC(B) had demanded that the party’s minister be ousted from the ministry.
Addressing a press meet here on Sunday, after the party state committee passed a resolution stating that Ganesh Kumar had no links with the party, Pillai said that the UDF leaders including Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala had humiliated him.
’Six times I arrived to settle the outstanding issues between the party had with Ganesh Kumar on their request. I was even asked to rush in from Kumili to discuss the issue with Ganesh by the Chief Minister and KPCC president. However, what I received was injustice. The minister is being protected by the Chief Minister even after KC(B) gave a letter demanding that the party nominee be dropped from the ministry,’’ Balakrishna Pillai said.
Pillai also alleged that an additional private secretary in the Forest Minister’s office was corrupt.
‘’An additional private secretary of the Forest Minister is operating everything and he is a corrupt official. It is mystery as to why the State Government had not taken any steps to recover the forest land under the control of Harrison Malayalam,’’ he said.
