TIRUPUR: The Muthoot (Mini) Financiers Pvt Limited here has assured to compensate the customers, who lost their jewellery, from October 10. The compensation would be provided either in the form of jewellery or as money according to its market value.Official sources said that the 1381 sovereigns of jewellery looted by a gang from the Tirupur branch of Muthoot (Mini) Financiers Pvt Limited belonged to 410 customers.Meanwhile, a few customers besieged the branch office on Thursday alleging that the administration was delaying the distribution of compensation. Though the company officials assured to recompense them after a month, the customers refused the offer.Following this, the officials held talks with them in the presence of police officials and finally agreed to provide compensation from October 10. Since the customers come up with different demands, the officials told them that the compensation would be provided either as jewellery or money according to the market value of stolen ornaments.After obtaining a written assurance from the company officials, the customers dispersed.
