The Confederation of Residents’ Associations (Confra) has requested the State Government to supply 20 kilos of rice at reduced prices through Supplyco outlets considering the market price of rice which has touched Rs 35 per kilo.
The soaring vegetable prices should also be brought down by asking the Agriculture Department to intervene. The government should fund Supplyco so that it can make interventions in the market, Confra representatives said in a statement here.
