BANGALORE: Welcoming the Congress’ 60-day state-wide campaign, state BJP president K S Eshwarappa opined that it would help the ruling party to know its mistakes and take remedial measures.Addressing the press here on Friday he objected to Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Siddaramaiah’s that the Congress would initiate criminal proceedings against the chief minister and others for their misdeeds after coming to power.“Siddaramaiah seems to losing his balance in choosing words to criticise his political opponents,” Eshwarappa categorically said.He added, “We have not committed any crime for sending us to jail.” Referring to Congress’ state-wide campaign, the state BJP chief said that “people will reject the Opposition parties which boycotted the Assembly proceedings, for which they will pay a heavy price”.He refusing to react to JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy’s statement that the chief minister was trying to re-establish alliance with them.“Such reports are absurd and deserve to be neglected.” Study Workshop for LegislatorsThe BJP has organised a study workshop for the 121 party legislators in July in which central BJP leaders will participate and guide the elected repesentatives. Eshwarappa said: “The workshop is being organised taking into consideration some unsavoury incidents.”
