A century-old tradition in ayurvedic treatment, Chingoli Krishnendu Aurvedic Hospital, Harippad, is all set to venture into the traditional ayurveda treatment segment with modern amenities. A wellness centre was recently opened on the hospital premises.
Mohan Babu, the managing director of the hospital, said that the aim of the revamping the hospital is to cater to a larger section of people who are interested in ayurvedic treatment, within and outside the country.
“To give Krishnendu an edge in catering to the upper crust of Indian and international clientele, a wellness centre cum ayurvedic spa was launched recently. The new centre is built in traditional Kerala architectural style and equipped with modern amenities including swimming pool, WiFi, multi-gym, sauna and ayurvedic herbal garden with a walk trail,” Mohan Babu said.
The hospital, established by late M C Kunjuraman Vaidyan in 1908, has a tradition spanning over 104 years.
“For those looking to rejuvenate themselves through authentic ayurvedic treatment, Krishnendu is the perfect choice,” he said. Also the chief physician of the hospital, Mohan Babu said the hospital offers the five-fold detoxification programme known as ‘Panchakarma’ and the renowned ayurvedic way of rejuvenation called ‘Kayakalpa’. He also said all medicines used at the hospital are prepared by adhering to authentic ancient ayurvedic formulae.
