Convene council meet, say TD corporators

HYDERABAD: TDP corporators in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Saturday demanded mayor B Karthika Reddy to hold a GHMC council meeting immediately to discuss the civic issues which were plaguing the city for the last six months.‘’It was unfortunate that more than six months have lapsed but no council meeting was held since then to discuss civic problems concerning the public’’  TDP floor leader in the GHMC, Singireddy Srinivas Reddy and deputy floor leaders Kotha Rama Rao and other corporators said.Singireddy alleged the roads were in a bad state with no maintenance, poor sanitation and  desilting of storm water drains and non-functional streetlights.
