BANGALORE: Jain University recently conducted a felicitation ceremony for teen beauty queen Tanvi Singla, final-year BCom student studying in the institute, for being crowned Miss Asia Pacific World India at the I Am She Pageant 2011. Tanvi will be representing India for Miss Asia Pacific World 2011 to be held in Busan, Seoul, South Korea.R Chenraj Jain, chairman, Jain Group of Institution (JGI) as well as president of Jain University applauded and felicitated her achievement. Dr Easwaran Iyer, dean of finance and commerce, Dr BT Venkatesh, director of PU programme, students and faculty members of Jain University were also present at the ceremony.Tanvi Singla’s inspiring story spelled a spectrum of encouragement to all those who were present there. She thanked all her teachers and especially the chairman in helping her to balance both her education and modelling career.Tanvi Singla stepped into the glitzy world of modeling only after she participated in the Scooty Teen Diva Contest 2008. She has worked with fashion designers such as Manish Malhotra, Manish Arora, Rohit Bal and Rocky S. She will be representing India in Miss Asia Pacific World 2011, which is an event that combines both beauty pageant and supermodel search for discovering future global stars such as film stars, models, talents, spokeswomen and singers from the region of Asia, Pacific, Europe, America and Africa.
