The appointment of Zafarul-Islam Khan, Anastasia Gill and Kartar Singh Kochhar to the Delhi Minorities Commission for three years has been approved by of Lt. Governor of Delhi Anil Baijal.
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday appointed three people to the state minorities commission.
The appointment of Zafarul-Islam Khan, Anastasia Gill and Kartar Singh Kochhar to the Delhi Minorities Commission for three years has been approved by of Lt. Governor of Delhi Anil Baijal. Khan has been appointed as the chairperson of the commission.
A renowned scholar and journalist, Khan has a Phd from Manchester University in Islamic Studies. He has worked for several international organizations.
The three names were proposed by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
As per provision the term of the Delhi Minorities Commission will be for three years.
