NAGERCOIL: The records and documents seized from the premises of former DMK minister N Suresh Rajan’s house and factories were produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) in Nagercoil, informed an official from the district Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) unit on Monday. DVAC got specific and credible information alleging that Suresh Rajan, former minister for Tourism and Registration, had acquired movable and immovable properties disproportionate to his known sources of income during his tenure as state minister from May 2006 to March 2010. As per this information, DVAC conducted a preliminary enquiry and registered a criminal case in Kanyakumari DVAC unit against the former minister. In addition, a search was held at different places, including his residence, zhis relatives, business establishments, in Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli on October 8.
