Dont ignore Karaikal: Sivakumar

KARAIKAL: Neravy-TR Pattinam MLA VMC Sivakumar, the lone independent legislator in the Puducherry Assembly, has urged the AINRC government led by Chief Minister Rangaswamy to concentrate on the development of Karaikal region.Reiterating his full support to the government, Sivakumar called upon the Chief Minister to accord equal importance to Karaikal region too. “Just as Puducherry region has been developing rapidly, so also should Karaikal,” he said.Stating that some of the development projects initiated in Karaikal by Rangasamy during his previous tenure as CM were still incomplete, he urged the government to complete all such projects at the earliest.He also stressed that in the annual budget of the UT, Karaikal region should get 30 per cent financial allocation.
