Full emergency was declared at Kolkata airport on Saturday night after fuel leakage on Air India flight AI-335 from Bangkok to Delhi, news agency ANI reported. The aircraft, with about 150 people on board, is learnt to have stopped on the taxiway and then was taxied to the terminal.
The flight took off from Bangkok just after its scheduled time of 9.30pm on Saturday. After flying for about half that time and on entering the Indian airspace, the technical problem was detected in the aircraft. The pilots then decided to land at Kolkata. All passengers were said to be safe.
