As many as 22 fresh encephalitis patients have been admitted to BRD Medical College Hospital and adjoining government hospitals during the period, they said.
With this, a total of 1,861 encephalitis patients have been admitted, of which 377 have died, the officials said. As many as 188 patients are being treated at BRD MCH and other government hospitals at present, they said.
Among 153 patients admitted from different districts of Bihar, 43 died this year at BRD MCH, they added.
