Shoot for the horror-thriller commences on September 19th
Los Angeles: Ethan Hawke has signed an untitled horror-thriller to be directed by Scott Derrickson.
'Paranormal Activity' producer Jason Blum is producing the new film.
Derrickson, known for 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose', begins shooting the micro-budgeted horror-thriller on September 19 from a script he co-wrote with C Robert Cargill, the Hollywood Reporter said.
Hawke recently finished working on a television adaptation of 'Moby Dick', starring opposite William Hurt in the role of first officer Starbuck.
His other projects include Pawel Pawlikowski's 'The Woman in the Fifth'. Hawke stars opposite Kristin Scott Thomas as a college lecturer who flees to Paris after a scandal costs him his job.
