BANGALORE: Confirming the leak of final report on illegal mining, Lokayukta N Santosh Hegde has said that he would order an investigation into the leak.
A media report had claimed that the final report had indicted CM B S Yeddyurappa and his Cabinet colleagues including his Cabinet colleagues - Janardhan Reddy, Karunakar Reddy, Sriramulu and V Somanna - on various charges. "The leak was not done by our office," he told Express.

The report is also said to have indicted former chief ministers S M Krishna, Dharam Singh and H D Kumaraswamy, in addition to a few elected representatives and members from almost the three parties including Anil Lad.

'Let Barking Dogs Bark'

Hariprasad had accused the Lokayukta of turning a blind eye to corruption in the state. When insisted to react to Hariprasad's accusation, he said that it was not necessary to react when street dogs bark. Further, he said that it was the duty of the corporation to control the stray dog

population. Referring to `5,000 crore released by the Centre for the rural poor, Hegde said that nobody knew how the money was spent. On Karwar DCF R Gokul's transfer, Hegde said the government had effected it.
