KOCHI: Four advocates of the Kerala High Court have been appointed High court Judges. Senior advocates V Chitambaresh and A M Shafeeq and lawyers K Vinod Chandran and K Harilal will be sworn in on November 8. Acting Chief Justice C N Ramachandran Nair will administer the oath of office.Chithambaresh took a degree in law from the Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram. He represented the Law college in the All India Moot Court competition in 1981. He enrolled in 1981 and began his legal practice under his lawyer-father C Vaidyanathan in Palakkad courts. Chithambaresh had worked as standing counsel for Palakkad Municipality for several years. Later, he shifted his practice to the Kerala High Court in 1983. He was made a senior lawyer in 2007. He has practiced all branches of law and over 300 of his cases have been reported in law journals. He has specialised in Constitutional, Criminal and Civil matters.Shafeeq had his legal education in the Government Law College, Ernakulam. He was one of the senior partners of the law firm, Menon and Pai. Specialised in company, civil and constitutional laws, he enrolled as a lawyer in 1983 and was made as senior lawyer in 2008.Vinod Chandran started his legal practice in courts at Parvoor in Ernakulam district in 1991. He studied law at the Kerala Law Academy, Thiruvananthapuram. He has specialised in civil, constitutional, taxation, labor and company Laws. He worked as special government pleader for taxes from 2007 to 2011. Harilal took his degree in law from the Kerala Law Academy, Thiruvanathapuram, in 1986. He started his career in Kayamkulam and Mavelikkara. He has specialised in civil and criminal matters. He shifted his practice to Kerala High Court in 1998. He was also a Government Pleader from 2004 to 2006.
