KOCHI: Prasad of Perumbavoor has become the seventh victim of a fraudster who seems to be specialising in cheating autorickshaw drivers.This middle aged man has been operating for the past few months at the Kakkanad Civil Station. It was just three days ago that an autorickshaw driver from the city got cheated in a similar incident. The trickster had hired Prasad’s auto from Koovappadi Junction near Perumbavoor. When the autorickshaw reached the Civil Station he told the driver that he had to go to a bank, but was short of cash. He then asked for `750. Prasad gave him the `500 he had, but the man vanished with it.The trickster is around 55 years old, bald, and well dressed, he said.Authorities are helpless about taking any action as the victims do not want to lodge a complaint.
