KOCHI: ‘’We live in a world which is universal. Unfortunately, our minds have become communal’’, said Justice V R Krishna Iyer. He was inaugurating International Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) -2011 organised by the Rotary District 3201. “Humanity should be our home. We are members of the world order. A larger concept of self called ‘universality of self’ exists. But we are lost in small things. We have limited us to ourselves,” he said. Verghese K Joy, president, International RYLA, presided over the function. Venugopal C Govind delivered the Keynote address. The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an initiative set up by the Rotary International in order to mould young citizens of the world to become future leaders. Youth from Malaysia, Sri lanka, Germany, the US, Bangladesh, Korea and from various states of India will participate in RYLA.
