'Fukrey' is about four good-for-nothing guys who fall in love in narrow by lanes of Delhi.

New Delhi: The National Capital Region has become a sought after backdrop for Hindi films these days. Director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba's 'Fukrey' is all set to carry the trend forward. As the title suggests, the film is about four good-for-nothing guys who fall in love in narrow by lanes of Delhi. Priya Anand, the sweet but determined Radha of 'English Vinglish', is playing the love interest of Pulkit Samrat in the film. She describes her character as a 'proper Dilliwali', "I play a 17yr old girl named Priya from Subash Nagar, Delhi. Watching me and Pulkit will take you back in time to your first crush."

She gets candid about her camaraderie with Pulkit, "Pulkit is someone who I enjoyed working with. He was so patient and so encouraging throughout the making of the film. I am also very close to Vishaka Singh."

The director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba had earlier directed 'Teen That Bhai'. "He is one of my favourite directors. After my second round of auditions for the film I realised that he was someone who was very clear and had a vision. I hope to work with him again."

Things have changed for Priya after 'English Vinglish' and 'Rangrezz', but she is still very new for the Hindi film industry. "The most pressure I felt was to get the part of Priya in 'Fukrey' right. I had to audition a few times and had to work hard on not having an American accent because we were shooting in sync sound."

Priya says that the film reflects the director's personality, "When I watched the film the first time I could only see Mrighdeep in every character. It's not easy making a film with seven actors and giving each their own space. I have tremendous admiration for him."

Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, the brains behind the film are expert at marketing and thus the film has generated a good enthusiasm among the audience, but a lot will depend on the actors as 'Fukrey' is likely to be dependent on their chemistry and capacity to generate slice-of-life moments. The presence of actors such as Richa Chadda, Pulkit Samrat and Manjot Singh can come handy in such a situation, however, the mist around 'Fukrey' will be cleared once it hits the screens on June 14, 2013.
