Govt to pay salary advance to Telangana staff

HYDERABAD: Following an agreement reached between the government and Telangana Employees' JAC representatives, the finance department on Friday issued orders for payment of special salary advance to employees who went on strike from September 13 in support of Sakala Janula Samme.As a special case to avoid hardship to the employees, a special advance to the extent of salary loss suffered on account of employees participation in the strike subject to a maximum of one month's salary will be granted.This shall be sanctioned on the basis of the eligible salary of August 2011," an order issued by Principal Secretary (Finance) V Bhaskar said.The advance shall be recovered from the employees subsequently, it said.This advance is admissible to the employees of government, local bodies and aided institutions.
