Gun Battle Breaks Out Between Security Forces and Terrorists in Baramullah
Four-Five militants could be trapped in Sultan Pora region as the gun battle continues. These militants could have intruded into Indian territory through the mountains of Uri.

Baramullah: A gun battle broke out on Sunday evening between security forces and a small group of terrorists in Baramullah district of Jammu & Kashmir.

Sources said the security forces in Sultan Pora region managed to trap four or five terrorists who may have infiltrated into Indian territory through the mountains of Uri.

The sources also suggested that the new group of terrorists from across the border belong to the Lashkar-e-Taiba group.

Indian Army's 52nd Rashtriya Rifle Unit and Special Operations Group (SOG) Baramullah were involved in the ongoing gun battle with the terrorists.

At least seven infiltration attempts were reported in the state over the past few weeks.
