KOCHI: The Kerala High Court has asked the state government to take a decision on issuance of no- objection certificates (NOC) to CBSE schools in the state. Justice T R Ramachandran Nair said this while considering a batch of petitions filed by the managements of various CBSE schools seeking compliance of an order of the Supreme Court directing the state to consider the matter of granting NOC to CBSE schools. The Supreme Court on March 8 had directed the state government to consider the matter of NOCs to schools. The state government on July 7 decided not to issue NOCs. The managements approached the court against the decision.The state government submitted before the court that it was framing a set of guidelines for the CBSE schools and the NOCs would be issued to those managements which comply with the guidelines. “The guidelines will be finalised soon,” the government submitted.
