HYDERABAD: The PIL bench of the High Court, which is hearing a batch of petitions against YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, on Thursday reserved its orders on whether a prima facie existed for ordering a full-scale probe into the alleged amassing of wealth by Reddy and investments by others in his firms.Earlier, the court opened the sealed cover submitted to it by the CBI. Earlier in the day the bench heard arguments on a writ petition filed by Sherwani, a practising advocate, from Kadapa. The petitioner wanted a detailed investigation by SEBI into the affairs of various companies and also into the financial dealings leading to the takeover of companies by Jagan. The petitioner’s representation was sent to the President and opposition parties.Vedula Venkataramana, yet another counsel apprearing for Jagan, pointed out that the petitioner had done his duty as a petitioner in a PIL.He pointed out that the petitioner did not disclose the source of his information nor did give complete details. Official abuse was not a matter to be assumed but needed to be established, he said.
