BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Monday issued notice to Karnataka Public Services Commission (KPSC) and Crime Investigation Department (CID) after one of the five officers, who were accused of producing fake certificates, produced original documents and refuted the allegations.Justice Mohan Shantanagowdar ordered emergent notice to the CID, the State Government and others. The petitioner, D R Pushpa, District Marketing Officer had challenged the report defending she was falsely implicated. The CID had alleged that she had produced false caste certificates during her 1998 recruitment. The CID report claimed that Pushpa had submitted a 3-A category certificate issued by the Special Tahsildar during her selection as an officer in 1998. Later, during the course of the inquiry, it was known that the 3-A certificate was issued to one, Madegowda. The petitioner contended that she was wrongly dragged by the investigative agency. She told the court that her name appears on Sl no 11522, while the CID report mentions 1/1522, which was issued to Madegowda. She also submitted a caste certificate issued by the Tahsildar, which said she belonged to the Vokkaliga caste. Terming the report illegal, one sided, arbitrary, vague, and prepared to favour someone else, she has said that the Respondent had not conducted enquiry in its true spirit. “No notice has been served upon me and the report is one sided and suffers from principles of natural justice and is liable to be set aside,” the petitioner said.
