HC orders security for 3 pro-Jagan ex-MLAs

HYDERABAD: Justice R Subhash Reddy of the High Court on Friday issued an interim order extending security cover to three former Congress MLAs _ K Srinivasulu, G Srikanth Reddy and A Amarnath Reddy _ from Kadapa district who had resigned from the Assembly and joined the YSR Congress Party led by Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy.The former MLAs moved the High Court complaining that the security cover provided to them when they were MLAs was withdrawn on April 10 without notice and also without assessing the threat perception. They contended that withdrawal of security cover was a colourable exercise of power.The judge said continuation of security cover shall be at the cost of the petitioners.
