New Delhi: The recently launched HTC-made Nexus 9 tablet is listed on the Google Play Store in India. Only two of the four variants of the Nexus 9 tablet are listed online - with the 16GB WiFi-only model (the basic version) priced at Rs 28,900 and the 32GB cellular model at Rs 44,900.
The devices are listed as "coming soon" and there is no information as to when they will go on sale in India. But speculations are that the devices will be available in India in the month of November itself, in line with the global launch.
The 32GB WiFi-only and the 16GB cellular models are currently not available in the country.
The Nexus 9 tablet has brushed metal sides and features an 8.9-inch IPS LCD display. It comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop, the latest version of Google's mobile OS. At its heart is the 64-bit Nvidia Tegra K1 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz. Google has designed a keyboard folio that magnetically attaches to the Nexus 9. The magnetically attached keyboard allows you to type at different angles. It will be sold separately.
Android 5.0 Lollipop, which comes on Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player, will also be available on Nexus 4, 5, 7, 10 and Google Play edition devices in the coming weeks.
The Motorola-made Nexus 6 smartphone has not yet made its way to the Google India Play Store.
