ICC will start the process for sale of audio-visual rights between the second half of 2007 and the 2015 World Cup.

Mumbai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) will initiate the process for sale of audio-visual rights of its events between the second half of 2007 and the 2015 World Cup, prior to the Champions Trophy in India in October.

"The period includes 18 ICC tournaments with two World Cups, in Asia (2011) and Australasia (2015), and a minimum of three Champions Trophy tournaments," an ICC said in a statement on Sunday.

The sale process of sponsorship rights for the eight-year timeframe is next in the pipeline.

The first two Twenty20 world championships, in South Africa (2007) and England (2009), also feature among the events.

The current agreement with Global Cricket Corporation, which began in 2000, ends with the 2007 World Cup in the West Indies next March and April.
