Impasse over Gujjar quota issue continues
Gujjars demand 5 pc OBC quota in Government jobs and educational institutions.

New Delhi: The stalemate over the Gujjar quota issue continued for the ninth day on Tuesday. Community leader Colonel Bainsla maintains that he is ready for talks. He will be sending five representatives to meet the Gehlot Government's three-member panel in Bayana on Tuesday.

Talks have been inconclusive so far. Gujjars have been demanding a special five per cent quota within the existing OBC quota in Government jobs and educational institutions.

Their protests have involved blocking roads and railway tracks, which has cut off parts of Rajasthan from the rest of the country.
