India is well prepared to tackle any terror attack: MoS PMO
"It is unfortunate that some elements are not in favour of the restoration of peace between India and Pakistan," said Union Minister Jitendra Singh.

Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office, Jitendra Singh, while condemning the Pathankot terror attack said that there are elements who do not want peace between Pakistan and in India.

"It is unfortunate that some elements are not in favour of the restoration of peace between the two nations," he added.

On the context of whether India should continue with its friendly talks with Pakistan or not, he said, "I am not the right person to comment on this. These decisions have to taken by the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of External Affairs."

Claiming that process of peace has its own power, Singh said, "The elements that do not want peace to be restored, they time and again carry out such acts. But we are confident that such act will not going to bring any success to their plan."

He also praised the Indian security forces for fighting bravely with the terrorists in Pathankot and said that they are well-prepared to deal with such crises.

When asked about the future course of action by the Indian government, he said, "These are security-related issues which cannot be discussed in the open. All I would like to say is all the concerned agencies are in place for national security."
