IPL hit by Pakistan's ban on cricketers
The Pakistan government has denied to sent cricketers to play IPL.

Mumbai: Two months to go and the excitement for the Indian Premier League is building up. Amidst all this excitement IPL’s last year champions Rajasthan Royals have got a glamorous new co-owner, Shilpa Shetty.

So, now actor Shilpa Shetty will do more than just shake a leg for the Rajasthan Royals. Along with boyfriend Raj Kundra, she has nearly 12 per cent stake in IPL’s last year champions.

But while the Royals have acquired a star off the field, they have lost an important one on it.

After Pakistan government’s decision to not let its players travel to India for this year’s tournament, Pakistani cricketer Sohail Tanvir will not be playing for Rajasthan Royals this year.

Sohail Tanvir was one of the key reasons for their success last year. He took 22 wickets in 11 matches at an incredible average of 12.09. Now, this year the Royals will have to find someone to fill Tanvir's shoes.

The Royals also had Kamran Akmal and Younis Khan among their ranks. While teams such as the Bangalore Royal Challengers will miss the likes of Misbah ul Haq and Delhi Daredevils Shoaib Malik, their loss won't be felt as much.

The Kolkata Knight Riders have some worries although. They have let Shoaib Akhtar go. The players the Knight Riders will miss this tournament will be - Salman Butt, Mohammad Hafiz and most importantly Umar Gul.
