CHENNAI: A software engineer was killed and his wife seriously injured, after an MTC bus collided with his two-wheeler, at Valasaravakkam on Friday.Sources said, Vetrivel (34) and his wife Vijayalakshmi (32), both software engineers and residents of CIT Nagar, Nandanam, were proceeding to their office at Valasaravakkam on their two-wheeler around 7.45 am, when the mishap occurred.On the Arcot Road, MTC bus route no 25G - proceeding to Poonamallee from Vadapalani - rammed their vehicle. The couple were thrown off their vehicle in the impact. Vetrivel was killed on the spot while his wife, who suffered serious injures, was admitted to a private hospital in Porur.
