Jayalalithaa whose governance has been lauded claimed that the state has had no power cuts in the last three years.
Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Tuesday ordered officials to lift power cuts in the state from June 1.
"There have been no power cuts in Tamil Nadu since last five days. Power generation has been enhanced by 2500 MW. Deals signed for purchasing 3800 MW power," said the CM.
Jayalalithaa whose governance has been lauded claimed that the state was power cut free in the last three years. Passing the orders, Jayalalithaa recalled how the state faced power crisis in the last six years.
