Srinagar: An encounter broke out on Saturday between security forces and terrorists in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.
On specific information about the presence of terrorists in Thak-Gund Village of Sopore area of the district, a joint team of army and police began a search operation this morning, police said.
They said as the security forces were conducting the search operation, the hiding terrorists opened fire on them triggering an encounter.
